U.S. Continues To Offer Assistance To Russia On Security For Olympics

(Washington, DC) -- White House spokesman Jay Carney says the U.S. continues to offer security assistance to Russia ahead of the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
In his daily briefing, Carney cited an uptick in "threat reporting" but also noted that it is not unusual before a major international event. Carney declined to elaborate about specific threats. He also did not specify what type of security assistance is being offered.
