Study: Friends Have Genetic Similarities
(San Diego, CA) -- A new study shows that while friends may not be biologically related, they still resemble each other genetically. The study published in the "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences" found that we have more DNA in common with the people we pick as friends than we do with strangers. Research showed that our friends are as similar to us as fourth cousins or people who share great-great-great grandparents. In other words, we tend to select friends that resemble people related to us.
