Reports: UT System Chancellor To Resign

(Austin, TX) -- University of Texas System Chancellor Francisco Cigarroa is expected to resign. Multiple reports say Cigarroa will announce his decision this morning to go back to the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. The 56-year-old has clashed with UT-Austin President Bill Powers, including a public reprimand last year. Cigarroa was pressured by the Board of Regents to fire Powers, but declined.
