Ohio Couple Found Guilty Of Enslaving Woman And Child

Youngstown, OH) -- An Ohio couple is guilty of holding a mentally disabled woman and her young child captive and forcing them to work for them. A jury in Youngstown found Jordie Callahan and Jessica Hunt guilty of labor trafficking, conspiracy and forced labor. Prosecutors said the victims were beaten, threatened with pit bulls and a 130-pound Burmese python, and fed dog food. They also said Callahan threatened to kill the adult woman if she didn't have sex with him, clean the apartment and do the shopping. Authorities discovered the situation when the woman was caught shoplifting in an attempt to be arrested.
