(Washington, DC) -- A bipartisan group of senators are going to work together on legislation imposing new sanctions on Iran. The 14 lawmakers include Democrats Robert Menendez of New Jersey and Chuck Schumer of New York, along with Republicans John McCain of Arizona and Bob Corker of Oklahoma. The announcement comes despite requests from the White House to delay implementing any more sanctions while negotiations with Iran over it's nuclear program continue. The senators said they plan to draft the legislation over the next few weeks and work to pass it as quickly as possible.
