(San Antonio, TX) -- Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff says 2013 was a good year for county revenues and projects, but he remains concerned about a lack of job growth. During his annual State of the County speech yesterday, Wolff said the improvement in revenue allowed the county to give all employees a three-percent raise, the first time that's happened since 2008. But Wolff is concerned that the San Antonio area ranks last in terms of job growth in the state. He says business leaders and politicians will need to "pick up the pace" by working closely with Washington, D.C. to protect military jobs and attract companies like Boeing and Lockheed-Martin to San Antonio.
