Jury Finds Samsung Owes 290-Million In Apple Patent Trial

(San Jose, CA) -- The ongoing patent fight with Apple could cost Samsung millions of dollars. A jury in San Jose Thursday found that Samsung Electronics would have to pay Apple nearly 290-million dollars in damages for violating patents. In August of last year, a jury found Samsung had infringed on numerous Apple patents regarding smartphones and tablets and needed to pay over one-billion dollars in damages. A portion of that amount was later vacated by a judge.
